Away Travel Info: FLAIR Stadium

By Car

From M62 - Leave the M62 at Junction 28 and follow the signs for Dewsbury (A653). This is a dual carriageway and some places you should pass are: Woodkirk Valley Country Club (on the left), Woodkirk Peugeot (on the right), Babes in the Wood Pub (on the right), Petrol Station (on the left), Rugby fields (on the right). Just after the petrol station and the rugby fields the dual carriageway will merge into one lane and then back into two as you come to some traffic lights. You need to be in the left hand lane as you approach the traffic lights. Turn left at the lights and follow the road round to the roundabout, turn left at the roundabout and you should see the stadium in front of you on the right.

From M1 - Leave the M1 at Junction 40 and follow the signs to Dewsbury. This will direct you onto the dual carriageway. At the end of the dual carriageway turn right at the roundabout onto Owl Lane, the FLAIR Stadium is approximately 1/2 mile on the left hand side.

From Dewsbury Town Centre - Follow the signs for Wakefield. They will direct you onto Wakefield Road and will lead to a roundabout, turn left at the roundabout onto Owl Lane, the FLAIR Stadium is approximately 1/2 mile on the left hand side.

Public Transport

From the railway station you can get a taxi outside the station to the stadium for approximately £3-£4.

To get to the bus station from the railway station: From the railway station cross the ring road, go down the hill (to the left of the Dewsbury Reporter office), go across the next road and down the next hill and you can see the bus station in front of you. At the bottom of the hill you will need to turn left for the entrance. The walk should take you no more than five minutes.

By Bus

In the bus station you will see the departures board above your head and this will give you the times and departure bay number. Look for the 202/203 in the Leeds direction and the times should be at 22 and 52 mins. Arriva charge about £1.30 each way for the twelve minute journey to Shaw Cross. Ask the driver for the rugby ground and he will know where to drop you off.
